Polo Grounds
To our joy, our field trip Monday started with news that the Polo's were in town. We ended up meeting them at the Aquarium of the Pacific at Long Beach. We had wanted to take the boys to see the aquarium there anyways so it ended up being a treat for everybody. When we arrived at the aquarium, there was a huge life-size replica of a whale hanging from the ceiling of the lobby and as we went further down we saw a scuba diver in a 30 foot aquarium with a bunch of huge fish. Later we got to go outside to another aquarium as they fed the sharks. Eventually, we went into an underground cave that felt like we were in a submarine. Instead we got to touch some live sea urchins and see how fish react in a simulated storm.
